In October 2012 I was a participant in the Big Debate at the London Restaurant Festival. In April 2012 I gave a talk at the Ideology Now conference at Birkbeck, London, on financial metaphor in ordinary language (audio). Previously I have lectured on environmental rhetoric, as part of the UEA philosophy department’s Public Lecture series; on Unspeak at the Where’s Your Argument? conference (on informal logic and philosophy of argumentation) at MMU; and on Unspeak for the keynote address of the Sydney Writers Festival. I have also delivered talks at the F.R.O.G conference in Vienna, the Fantoche animation festival in Baden, the Rotterdam film festival, and GameHotel shows in Paris, Zurich, and Cologne, and appeared at the Edinburgh and Bath literary festivals.

I have been a guest on BBC Radio 4’s Today, Woman’s Hour, and Saturday Review, Radio 3’s Night Waves, and various other radio/TV slots on the BBC, C4, CTV, NPR, CBC Radio Q, ABC Radio National, etc. I wrote and presented a 30-minute BBC4 documentary, Trigger Happy.
